I am completely feeling overwhelmed with this weight loss thing. There are so many choices out there and I don't know which one will work best for me. I like the idea of weight watchers in that you can eat "normal" food. However, I struggle to come up with meals for dinners. I have an appointment to meet with high energy weight loss on Tuesday, and I'm thinking of canceling it. I looked into nutrisystem and it is expensive! I know that I want it all...easy, affordable, no in person meetings, no trainers, just get rid of the gut!!
So, I'm throwing it out to all of you. I know that I need to loose weight. I look like I've had four kids! Yikes! If anyone has any thoughts or ideas as to what has worked, what hasn't worked, recipes, anything it would be much appreciated! Thank you!

ask heather ives she looks great and has talked about what she is doing she seems to love it...
diet and exersize - i struggle with it too!
we are doing a biggest loser type thing at my work, so that helps because everyone jumped on board on my team and we have each other to lean on if we need to. i have lost about 9 lbs (according to my scale with ALL of my clothes off - HA!) in just two weeks.
i am trying to follow my gestational diabetes program but at times don't even come close to the carb count. it is 30 carb meals for breakfast and lunch and 45 carbs for dinner with a 15 carb snack 2 hours after each meal. so i eat the same thing all the time for breakfast and lunch, but it is working!
i also exersize on the treadmill sometimes twice a day - in am before work while chad is getting ready to go to work and in pm before bed watching a show that i might have taped from earlier that day! it is a slow process, but i am seeing results. i think if there was a magic formula out there, we would all have tried it by now!
good luck! i'll call you on the way to school to tell you about the types of things that i eat!
What worked for me was always carrying a bottle of water around with me, working our to Tae Boe for an hour three days a week, eating what I wanted but in smaller portions (salad plate size) about five meals a day but like I said small meals, and I love over 40lbs and it has stayed off over the years. Also just making sure what you are eating is balanced. As Teri said, Heather does Yoga and is a certified instructor if I am correct. After I have the baby I plan on starting my routine again!!!
Kristi Randall here - I'm not sure if you remember me - we were in the Surprise Ward together our blog is http://skrandall.blogspot.com/ - I got the Weight Watchers cookbook from Costco for under $20 it is great! My sister in law and brother use Wii Fit to work out with. Good luck!
I stink at eating healthy. But I swear by the spin class at the gym. I burn the most calories doing that than anything, and I mean anything, else. I dunno if you have a gym membership though.
Scott is starting cross fit in our back yard. He lost 35 lbs in 18 weeks and didnt really change his eating habits. (They weren't really too bad to begin with). You're welcome to join us...you may want to check out crossfit.com before you decide though. We started it a few days ago and all of my muscles are burning. Trisha is doing it too and pretty much hates Scotts' guts right now. I would hate him too if I didn't have to live with him! :-)
